As someone that has lived in china and had many friends that did kung fu, let me give my two cents.
I love that the people that say its real are doing it for the benefit of the douchebags gulliability and I totally appreciate that. But for the douchebags....
Its not real.
The camera angle change gives it away.
When the camera changes angles, where is the previous filmer in the background? Not there!
They are totally talented, and that shit really hurts, and its real kung fu, and it may not be choreographed! But are they genuinely trying to tear the shit out of each other?

QFT - I've broken up a few of those over the years and they are a bitch. Chunks of hair ripped out, earrings ripped out, blood everywhere and the girls would just as soon fight the teacher for stopping it usually.
