Cliffs:
  • You're most likely training your brain to not focus on 1 thing, and you cannot just easily switch back to being a 1 task kind of person.
  • They're doing studies and they can't find someone who can do more than 2 tasks correctly without bringing down the performance a lot for both.
  • Tweens are doing on average 3-4 things at a time.
  • Multitasking ruins your ability to focus, but it is a skill you can train back (hopefully).

Some people already know me as a huge minimalist so I love hearing this kind of stuff. I'm hugely guilty of this (Twitter, Skype, cellphone, The Sopranos.. etc.), but for the last 1-2 months or so I've been really trying to focus on doing 1 thing at a time.

Went on to listen the podcast while working on 2 different projects. Looks like I need to kick this habit as well :)

Personally I love to do one task at a time, as it helps me to do the task effectively.

I have been guilty of multi tasking for most of my life, many times I have screwed up badly.
