Hey folk's, one of my close friends is having an investigation carried out by my company that was handed down from CID (UK's solution to FBI/DEA?)

Originally a job posting and the response is as follows:

Thanks for the mail, how are you doing with your lovely family? i wish i could meet up to talk with you. Because, i am now in Africa for some contract because i am an constrution Engineer.so there will be no interview now. i will pay you in advanceto do all my shopping and packages/mail forwaded to your address.If you are unable to stay at home i can have them shipped to a post office near you and you can pick them up to your convenience. you are required to mail them to where i want to them mailed to .you dont need to spend out of your money all you need is that all the packages shipped to your house and do my shopping. the content of the packages will be business and personal mails.All the expenses of the money of transport will be paid by me..you will work between 15 to 20hrs per month.how much willl you charge per month...I will pay 500 per month.......Is that a bad offer? i need your service because i am constantly out of town.... i am a senior construction engineer.......i will return from Africa next month and i will come back home for some rest....I will be in london and the process will be going on.......

We have tracing in place to originate any packages sent, this lead may be drug solicitation or just the old fashioned fake cheque scam. Been following this guy for sometime but never entered into conversations without authority's consent.

What do you think this guy is trying to pull?

So, you do this for a living but can't figure out what this guy is trying to pull? Obviously he is using stolen credit cards to buy items illegally and having them shipped to your address, and then getting you to foot the bill to ship it to a legitimate drop site. This is a common scam.

Interesting theory but the last shipment found by authority's was 300 MDMA pills. I know there's loads of these scams about but this one was put to me for a reason.
 
I really hope you are trolling, 'cause if your not, and investigating things like this is what you do for a living, you might want to find another path in life
 
Chris Hansen did a report on this where people steal CC's and send items to you and you send them somewhere else. It was was actually pretty interesting. I think this video was the beginning of the show:
