I get a call from this guy, a friend of a friend and annoying mac-lover at half past eleven PM on a sunday night.
Guy sounds really deperate as he needs to turn in his taxes but can't figure out how to print them properly.
Why is he asking me? Well, only suitable tax program is a windows program running on a virtual machine on his mac laptop.
So without going on a rant about how all macites seem to have at least a virtual windows, I go above and beyond and tell him to come over.
...
After two hours of searching, I find one elusive check mark that enables us to print his stuff the way he needs it to turn it in for the German authorities for his small business.
So the problem lay in the bad design of the application, neither win nor mac issue, just crappy UI.
The moment he walks out of the door (at well beyond midnight), he turns around and says
"Well, I knew this was just the stupid Windows OS again. This would not have happened with Mac software."
Needless to say, it took all my willpower not to strangle him on the spot.
Never helped the git again.
