I like Salvador Dali, there's a museum of his stuff in florida and it's badass. There's one painting that covers an entire wall and you're like ok that's kinda cool, but then the people working there tell people to stand back and squint your eyes and it's so vividly abraham lincoln it's crazy.

Also this is one of my favorite 3d models for games, the entire thing is really well done, the textures, the modeling, the layout. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xzxLSC2MiJw#t=52

"Come on Abhi, now that it's saturday and you're shitfaced and it's 2.00 in the morning. Let's go and have some dinner.

Oh.. Look there's a thread about art, let's check it out before you leave."

^^ That was me, 30 seconds ago. Pay close attention to the "WAS".

You can use a 1031 deferral on fine art and rare books(my hobby). Feels good to post this info in a forum where the members can actually use it. I've been such a fucking peasant.

I had a phase where I bought some prints.

I bought and re-sold this one for a small gain:

But a lot of the ones I bought I just stuck on the wall un-framed like posters because I didnt really plan on re-selling them anyways. And, well, they're just nice posters.

Here's the few I have framed on the wall, just prints.

Girlfriend hates this one, so it's in the closet.

Another one that I have framed, but in a closet since I don't want everyone to know I like to trip balls, but I guess the mushroom clues them in.

I'm in NYC so I can go to the MOMA. My first impressions of the place were 1) this is like being on drugs without the drugs. 2) all the good ideas have been had.

This looks stupid as an image, but in real life it's huge and it's like impressive as fuck.

And then this at the MET I spent like 30 mins in front of at the end of a mushroom trip.

It's big: 76.5 in × 48.7 in.

I rock this on the back of my bathroom's door because I'm an ironic hipster.

Except mine says "(Just kidding.)" on the bottom. Just a random newspaper that was included with some posters I bought.

http://expressobeans.com/ < this is a neat site if you want to nerd out on prints.

ice2eskimos - I guess the thing you get in person is "movement" for lack of a better word.

I'm attaching 4 images.

I can't tell if I fucked up and linked to images that are login only or if they're working. So excuse the double post if there's not broken images for you above.

I think that's as good a word as any for the effect.

When I was a kid, I used to cut school all the time, get drunk, and go to MOMA for the day. The first time I came face to face with a Pollock it fucked me up more than the malt liquor I was drinking, I think.
