But you miss my point. My point is it's GAY to ban music period just because of they're behaviors. BECAUSE then you wind up with a stupid slippery slope of questionable ethics ( on the side of the banner) when you choose to ban people for a social impropriety while choosing not to ban for an actual federal offense. I guess it's one thing if radio stations choose not to play something because no one wants to hear it but to say your going to all out ban an artist from there on out is just stupid.

Agreed 100%. He showed himself to be a douchebag, but banning music is fucking retarded.
 


I am not going to say he is a "marketing genius". I do think however in the world of POP CULTURE any publicity is good publicity.

Everyone who had any involvement in the situation has benefited from it. Even the "jackass" Kanye.
 
Even with bad publicity, he's raised his awareness level.
Right now he is Douch du jour.
But people forget what he did, and will remember his name.
So he's made an ass of himself, but made himself more famous at the same time.
Probably means more ticket sales in the long run.

Wow. Are you serious?

Chris Brown had a huge backlash for that and the incident has definitely had a very negative impact on his career.

And let's use a little common sense: Kanye West's behavior was on prime time national T.V.

That's the only difference.

If Chris Brown was shown beating up Rhianna on national T.V it would have been a completely different story and his career could have possibly even been over.
 
what if that whole thing was a huge set up to promote the new jay leno show...
