Is SEO dead ?



I'm sure I'm not the only one here that remembers when people said SEO was "dead" in 2004.

And then again in 2005.

It died again in 06.

Someone tried to kill it with fire in 07.

It survived a 4 car pileup in 08, in spite of people predicting the worst.

In 2009, "gurus" were ready to pull life support once again.

And so on and so forth...

GOOG really wants the seo "industry" to be dead. SEO doesn't die, it just becomes less relevant. For serious marketers SEO is just something to kill time between 202 stats updates.
 
yes it's dead....stop doing seo, start selling cookies. We will do the nasty SEO job
 
LOL at all the LOL'ers. LOL'ing at "seo is going to die" doesn't make sense unless you can predict the future.

We of all people should know how fast and how hard the internet changes. Don't take anyting for granted - nothing lasts forever.
