Islamic Sharia Law to Be Banned in, ah, Oklahoma

Much easier to kick out all muslims and ban immigration from islamic and third world countries.

I mean, what loss is there? Does Sharia Law bring anything to your local community that could even remotely be considered positive? There is literaly nothing that can be considered "good" with Sharia Law. Fuck, I'd have a hard time coming up with one or two positive things that Islam would bring, let alone Sharia.

And yea, like the dude above me said, it's a religion not a race. Some of my best friends growing up were a large group of Arab Christians who left Egypt for America...awesome people. Their parents were all a bit weird, very serious with no sense of humor but I guess that's sort of how all parents are.

Point being I've had great experiences with every non-muslim Arab I have ever met, some of the most easy going fun people ever. Or maybe I just came across the best group of Arabs to ever walk the face of the Earth and it was a huge convenience. Muslim Arabs...not so much. That religion seems to literally breed hateful assholes, not wanting that "culture" in your community is 100% justified in my opinion. I've even met a few white muslims and they were fuckin assholes as well, they just always seem to be angry about something and you don't have to hang around one very long until you start hear the "jews do this" "jews are this and that" bullshit, fuckers are OBSESSED with hating Jews. If they spent half as much time trying to grow their economies as they do worrying and bitching about Jews, they may be able to move out of the stone ages most of them seem to be stuck in.

Give Europe another 10 years, both American costal regions another 20 and they will WISH they had enacted a law such as this.

just curious, when was the last time you've been to europe?

How about this? Sharia law is a breach of the separation of church and state and should be banned without additional legislation. There doesn't need to be more paper pushed through state or federal governments that keeps me free of being prosecuted by a non-governmental organization for breaking laws of a religion to which I do not prescribe.

Allowing muslims to practice their religion means we all have to live by their laws?

Dear God, don't even know why I bother any more....

Nope - I agree totally that Sharia should be excluded from the legal system. If they want to live in this country, they can live by our laws (I'm talking UK here, but I agree about the US too).

I was commenting on the suggestion that the US should ban all muslims and immigrants. That would be like Australia banning anyone with a criminal record from entering the country.

Good for Rex Duncan on the preemptive action IMO. Below is an exert from the article that I found extremely troubling:

"Sharia has gained a toehold in some western countries, notably Great Britain, where five sharia courts have been established to settle certain disputes among Muslims, with the government's blessing."

I'm wondering what these "certain disputes among Muslims" entail? Maybe someone from the UK can clarify whether these courts can actually issue sentences and enforce them legally, and to what extent? Because this shit is completely absurd and someone is ass backwards for allowing it to pass.
