- Israeli soldiers invaded these ships in international waters, breaking international law, and, in killing civilians, committed a war crime. The counter-claim by Israeli commanders that their soldiers responded to an imminent “lynch” by civilians should be dismissed with the loud contempt it deserves.
- The Israeli government approved the boarding of these aid ships by an elite unit of commandoes. They were armed with automatic weapons to pacify the civilians onboard, but not with crowd dispersal equipment in case of resistance. Whatever the circumstances of the confrontation, Israel must be held responsible for sending in soldiers and recklessly endangering the lives of all the civilians onboard, including a baby.
- Israel has no right to control Gaza’s sea as its own territorial waters and to stop aid convoys arriving that way. In doing so, it proves that it is still in belligerent occupation of the enclave and its 1.5 million inhabitants. And if it is occupying Gaza, then under international law Israel is responsible for the welfare of the Strip’s inhabitants. Given that the blockade has put Palestinians there on a starvation diet for the past four years, Israel should long ago have been in the dock for committing a crime against humanity.
"The deputy head of Israel's mission to the United Nations, Dan Carmon, told the Security Council, "Although portrayed in the media as a humanitarian mission delivering aid to Gaza, this flotilla was (not) a humanitarian mission. If indeed it were a humanitarian mission it would have accepted, weeks ago, during the planning stages, the offer by the Israeli authorities to transfer the aid, through to the port of Ashdod, to Gaza through the existing overland crossing, in accordance with established procedures. Many states and organizations, including the UN, are using those mechanisms on a daily basis"
"The Flotilla organizers not only rejected this offer, but stated clearly that (and I quote) 'this mission is not about delivering Humanitarian supply, but rather about breaking the Israeli siege,' as Greta Berlin, a flotilla spokesperson told the media last week."
yes we covered that part....try keeping upSo far i haven't seen anywhere that they had automatic weapons. You made that assumption based on the fact that IDF soldiers carry M16's in general. You even tried to calculate how many automatic rounds must have been shot. It was pretty delusional considering you convinced yourself they had automatic weapons when every account and video shows they didn't.
In fact, in this mission their primary weapons were PAINTBALL guns (you can even see them in the video). Their secondary weapons, which were only drawn after they were attacked, were pistols.
Israel initiated violence by trying to hijack a humanitarian ship in international waters. If Israel didn't try hijacking the ship, no violence would happen. If Israel wasn't starving Palestinians half to death, no ship would be needed to bring in the supplies. It's quite clear have have a strong biased against Israel from the start of this thread and refuse to place one ounce of blame on the people who initiated the violence by attacking them. If the boat followed Israels orders not to attempt to break their blockade, they would not have had to attempt to board the ship.
how about self defense? And did you look at the knives? It's cutlery for fucks sake.If the protesters had no violent intentions why did they bring tons of slingshots with glass marbles and knives?
fine, slingshots against handguns. Not that much better. Here is a point...these guys could have been armed with AK47s and it wouldn't matter...in INTERNATIONAL WATERS...Israel has no rights to board a ship. And don't give me the Slingshot vs. Automatic weapons arguments because 1. there were no automatic weapons, it was really slingshots vs. paintball guns and 2. if they were "peaceful" protesters why did they need any form of weapon at all? And yes, slingshots with glass marbles can kill people and seriously wound them.
So you would be ok with having someone break into your house, and then when you hit them in self defense, you are fine with them shooting you in the head?So i'm not sure if you're anti-Semitic, or just anti Israel from a political standpoint, but you clearly have a strong bias against Israel and refuse to even acknowledge the video that clearly shows the Israeli commandos being Brutally attacked before they even set foot on the boat.
1. Israeli sources are by default biased. There is a reason this crime was condemned WORLD WIDE...not a SINGLE country defended Israel's actions. 2. Once again, none of this shit matters...these guys broke international law by boarding the ship, the people on the ship had full right(according to international law) to open up with AK47s and kill every single one of the Israelis. And by international law, they wouldn't be arrested. If Israel didn't provoke them by trying to hijack the ship, noone would have gotten hurt. They had no weapons to hit any of the Israeli ships. Here is an interesting account of what happened from an Israeli source: A brutal ambush at sea - Israel News, Ynetnews
I know you won't credit it, but considering you posted a video from the radical islamic nutcases who support hamas and were violating the blockade, i think it's fair to post this.
DOES NOT MATTER.Also, you're idea that this was a peaceful aid mission is also false:
except they didn't have weapons, this was confirmed by inspectors before they set out.OMG i ran a police road block and I had weapons in my car and they beat me up........I am a victim!!!!
Fuck the terrorist sympathizers
except they didn't have weapons, this was confirmed by inspectors before they set out.
except this wasn't a road block, since Israel had no jurisdication in the area. No they were carrying such forbidden materials as concrete, chocholate and paper. Those animals! Don't they know that the same paper that can be used for printing books, can be used to make a paper airplane?
except they didn't beat you up, they killed you, and a bunch of your friends in the car.
anyways I'm done for the day...this thing will last for a while...and eventually Israel would have to decide, whether to start war(most likely turkey, since they want to escort the next shipment) or to lift the blockade.
