Ive Had it With PayPal

I just realised i could be in the same situation if things go bad. Im currently doing link-building for a large company and they have pre-paid. However on the payment email from paypal it says the payment can be reversed if its dissputed. Since its digital service im providing could be a very difficult situation?

At the same time after reading up on a bit it seems its mostly the credit card companys that cause the problems. Ie the CC company can hit paypal for a refund on any transaction and paypal (and all companies like them) will have to pass it on? I dont think theres a solution.

Paypal "randomly" selected me to prove my identity after I sent money to someone. I never filed a dispute but apparently I did? Went through all the questions and changing my password and now they have to send me a letter to my address which will get to my house in 5-7 days. Which will probably take 3 weeks. So now I can't use paypal because I was "randomly" selected. Never had any bad history either.

I had a guy do this to me too through paypal. I showed paypal the order receipt and the email from the guy saying how much he liked the landing page. Obviously its digital products so I'm fucked. He was a single figure post count wickedfire member. I'd welcome some kind of wickedfire name and shame thread.

Some bastards can totally redefine the word. Sorry for your loss but this shit is getting out of hand now. Something needs to be done.
I was wondering, when it comes to checking out with a shopping cart, is there a way via which we can program the code to check out as a digital product instead of a physical good? I mean, PP then has to side with the seller coz the buyer agrees to buy a digital product. Right?

You can log it all you like. That shit don't mean a thing. They just say it was an unauthorized cc transaction.
Sucks dick doesn't it? Let's have a rogues gallery!! Burn them!!!!

Every single thing that I sell through PP says "by purchasing your agree to the TOS located <link>"

TOS says: You agree that the purchase you are making is intangible, and in non refundable except in the case of non-delivery.

paypal usually sides with me when I get a dispute because of it.

AustinP, FWIW.

I was in your shoes once, worrying about refunds etc.

Just focus on acquiring more businesses.

Refunds will happen one way or another, in fact, it might even be a good thing.
