As a jamaican i HATE cool runnings because thats not how jamaicans talk. Those guys arent even jamaican and its sad that people see the movie and think thats how jamaicans are -__-. lol first thing they ask you about in Us when you from jamaica is do you know bob and have you seen cool runnings.
@Dresden why go to the country if you think the people are ugly??
and jamaicans dont say "mon" -_-

I've met Jamaicans and yes that's exactly how they talked, mon.

I've never seen cool runnings, but ya mon - jamaican's do talk the way they are stereotyped, again been there several times. As for your question, why would I go outside where I live now if I thought the people were ugly? Jamaica was predominately white, but is now predominately black. It's an extremely beautiful island, again - minus the people. I go there mostly for scuba, its natural beauty and of course love jumping @ ricks. :-)

The last time Jamaica was a white majority was in the 1700s it has not been predominately white was nearly 300 years ago and i think the reason why you think Jamaicans say ya mon so much is because that is most likely the only phrase you can really understand.
