Jamaican racial frictions

I travel to Jamaica 4-5 times per year. I love how they are trying to make the minority seem like they have faced hardships and trials, when 90% of the country is poor and makes less than $200 per week. Almost every Jamaican has experienced hardships, it's a third world country for fucks sake. Still, Jamaican's are some of the happiest people I have ever met. Just goes to show it isn't all about material shit, and money.

I still think it is funny when I see an Indian or Chinese person with a Jamaican accent though.

so everyone interviewed are paid actors? however if you watched the documentary you would see that there were several testimonies of people claiming that there is zero racism in Jamaica so was that bullshit as well? i am very confused?

i love the part where you mention you did not even watch it. let me ask you is it a Jamaican tradition to judge things before even hearing them and react with hostility and disgust before hearing people out and is it a tradition to embrace logical fallacy by thinking that ones own individual experience is indicative of all peoples experience or is that just you?

Ricks is cool, but you are paying outrageous amounts for alcohol and food. My wife and I like to visit local spots in Negril. My favorite place is a bar called "Da Bar". Super cool local spot. Great people and food is delicious.

I stay away from tourist spots altogether but nobody can resist the cliffs

you yourself in this post said "almost every Jamaican has faced hardships"
so why do you feel it is a false claim that portions of the minorities face hardships? do you see the conflict within your statement?

*** Since you're from there, I'm assuming you're black. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH EVERYONES BELLY BUTTON THERE? I dont know if its like the way people were born or what... But I saw a shit load of people there that had a bump where the bell button should be, looks like the size of an egg really. Disgusting, looks like a tumor. But seriously though, was on alot of people...

Who gives a fuck, all vacations will increase price. But in the end, that place is fucking rad and I'm obsessed with those cliffs.

Mind = blown.

I thought you didn't like black people?

I don't like mexicans, but I live in California.... :-=) I love the caribbean, so I go to alot of the islands.. I did post prior though that Jamaica was originally white and was a major shipping hub for euro-trade, but colonized by african slaves. Regardless of its demographics though, the place is beautiful.

He goes there on recon missions, idiot. The cliff jumping is just a distraction to allow him to blend in with tourists.

^^ This.

I think your sarcasm detector is broken.
