Japan struggling with low libido problem. By 2060 the country would have lost one third of its population.

One politician suggests taxing handsome men to give ugly men a better chance at dating.

“If we impose a handsome tax on men who look good to correct the injustice only slightly, then it will become easier for ugly men to find love, and the number of people getting married will increase.” he says.

Time to move to Japan and help out in a noble cause?

Neither Japan nor any of its ministers are suggesting taxing the handsome. That idiotic proposal was made by an economic analyst and TV personality AKA an airhead. It really doesn't even make sense.

Part of the problem with Japan is the horrible work-life balance there, and the overwhelming control employers have over the lives of their employees. Either you have to be a workaholic devoted to your company or a you're completely depressed shut in who watches anime and reads manga in order to escape reality.

It would be smarter to address the work-live balance problems there instead of coming up with stupid gimmicks that don't address the root of the problem.
