Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3

I don't know who yall Jay Z ****riders are calling an idiot but don't get mad at me because "Ya Boy!" can't do what he used to.

I disagree that after Reasonable Doubt he fell off, to me it's more like after the Black Album it went downhill

I don't hate I state facts, deal with it

lulz, cause we don't agree that he fell off we're dick riders? You didn't state one fact, you stated your opinion that after Black Album he fell off. Or are you just saying stuff cause it rhymes? :error:

Jay-Z was an amazing rapper up until the black album...after that he became an amazing musician...musically this album is better than any jay-z album ever...lyrically...not sure, it's hard to compare the styles.

possibly one reason people don't like it is cause they still want some 1994 style rap which they consider "real" and "the best"...if that's what you like, cool...i like it too, but i don't complain about the new music either, i listen to it and if i like it i like it, not very common with rap these days for me...everyone wants to criticize an album, seems like that is the "in" thing in hiphop these days.

Jay Z did not fall off, he just changed. Thats what happens. Be glad he is still making music.

Truest post in this thread.

I should have known not to post anything, there is never any reasoning with DR's

Here is why Jay Z falling off is a fact to everyone except for those stuck in Rocafella fantasy land, let me educate ya'll right quick

Some consider The Black Album a classic album but none of the albums he has made since then are even close(definitely not this one AhA!)

Jay Z was once considered the best rapper alive, YOU would be an idiot to say that right now

None of his singles have come close to #1, back in the day his songs lived there

I am not saying Jay Z is wack or w/e, he can still spit every now and then depending on the track. Go listen to the Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt, The Black Album or even Blueprint 2 and compare it to this album and his last. If you do not hear a clear difference in quality you do not know hip hop or rap.

What is the meaning of falling off? That he is not as good as he used to be.

Hey but who am I? Why you worried about me? There are plenty of Jay Z and Rihanna tracks to be listened to

I think you're not willing to accept that jay-z has changed with the genre of music and does not sound the same as he did 10 years ago...becuase every album before the black album jay sounded the same basically...his past few albums he switched up and tried new things...just like eminem did with relapse...some people might not like it that liked his older albums, and some people that didn't like his older albums will like it...

and what is "quality"

Ho please. American Gangster was fucking great. [Edit: haha nice timing, KidChaos]

And since when does a #1 single equal good music? Judging by that criteria you must be a big Black Eyed Peas fan, huh?

This is the only thing you posted that would be a "fact", but this isn't even accurate. His latest single made it to #3 on the billboard 100; which would be the highest ever for him on that chart.

allmusic ((( Jay-Z > Charts & Awards > Billboard Singles )))

The overall quality of major label music, not just rap, fell off around 10-15 years ago. This tends to make some people get overexcited when anything decent does come out.

Saying he fell off after the Black Album is just retarded. The Black Album is one of those once in a lifetime albums, they can't all be that good. American Gangster was certainly a solid album.

Venus vs. Mars might be my favorite so far on here, but it's good all the way through.

And if you go back to Joints and Jams BEP was actually pretty good.

So far

Young Forever
What We Talkin Bout
Empire State of Mind
Already Home
A Star is Born

On repeat

overall it's a good album...want to talk about someone falling off? raekwon...probably the best album of the year, but it's nothing compared to only built for cuban linx pt 1, and he still has the same style and flow and everything....jay actually changed...

two of best rap albums of the year leaked within 24hrs...i'm happy.

I think alot of people think he "feel off" becasue he doesn't rap about the streets anymore. How could he, he's a multi milionaire rap mogul. He doesn't talk about street hustlin' anymore because he can't. He raps about corporate hustlin' and most people don't know how to relate to that. And no he has never had a number one hit but has had 10 number one albums.
