Jungle tribe meets white man for the first time

It reminds me of this picture where a helicopter snapped a photo of this tribe that had never been in modern contact. Could you imagine?

I thought it seemed a bit fake but then because I've never seen any other example of this happening it's hard to imagine how they would react.

Not saying if it's real or fake, just that I thought on watching it seemed a bit fake. If it's not fake it's pretty amazing.

Seems real to me. Notice their eyes? They are constantly on the look out for danger. Had to be an awesome event for everyone there.

That was filed arround 20-30 years ago if I am not mistaken, and there were quite a few parts of the World where a white man's food has not stepped.

And there are still such tribes in the Amazon forest or in Indonesia near Bali.

I remember when I was in Bali the guide warned us not to travel to a few of the islands since it is belived that Cannibal tribes are living there...

Headhunters in Borneo. don't fuck with them

damn, if that's real then those white guys have pretty huge balls. looks like the one guy is about to tomahawk the camera man at the 2:55 mark

I was just waiting for the black dude to harpoon the white guy in the throat. Infact thats how I estimate the authenticity of anything - the level of Harpooning. This is obviously fake.

Pro-tip: Meeting White people for the first time doesn't often go well.

"Speak for yourself, son!"

The Toulambi are among the very last witnesses of our distant past. When the last tribe is contacted and moved from the Stone Age into the modern world, from being free and masters of their own destiny to being poor and at the lowest level of our western society, it is a part of ourselves that will vanish forever.http://www.jpdutilleux.com/collections/toulambi.html

Yeh, sucks they can't stay hidden. They're pretty much fucked now.

It's funny. We know so much about the world, and even a little bit about the space outside of our own.

But, tribes and cultures like this still exist, tucked away from the "modern" world.

There are several stories like this from WW2 when 1st world countries built bases on remote pacific islands and encountered remote people for the first time.

Awesome video, thanks for the link!
