K.I.S.S: How to Rank #1 for a Moderately Difficult KW in Less than 2 Weeks!

Day 1 strategy is for real. The two aged domains I bought with PR are doing amazing (I actually build the domains out though).

The one 12 year old domain I bought with no PR and no history... doing the worst of all of my new sites. It's got some sort of penalty on it. I'm thinking of 301ing it to another domain soon, and SGW at the 12yo domain. This is one more vote on that direction.

Quality + Spam + Keep Site alive with comments and new content + spam = win

A little math?

PR4 Domain $50 - 100 (educated guess)
SGW $200 or $300 (depends on what package he got)
SBB with Drip and Indexation $49
50 or 100 google +1s $15 or $25
100 or 200 likes $15 or $25
ALN Network No idea… $50?
1000 words x 10 $160ish

so like $500 - $600?

By no PR do you mean PR n/a or PR 0? Was it indexed at the time you bought it?

PR N/A (and still is). The site was indexed (the little homepage domain for sale page), and info:domain.com showed up. So I bought the little fucker. It's indexed but the home page ranks 73 and not much else is going. I would expect it and a bunch of other pages to be in the 20s by now.

I dunno I'm no domainer and not a pro at this stuff, but it's a legitly quality site so I am gonna keep at it, but need to cut losses and 301 at some point.

OP, just what sort of links (and how many) is SGW? The sales thread for SGW reveals that 20-30k links show up in WMT (no report is provided) but nobody talks about what kind of links - care to share?

Couldn't 301'ing a penalized domain transfer the penalty to the destination domain? I was under the impression that this is possible.

After day #1, was the rest directly to your main site? or some of it to the 301 as well?

301ing good domains provides benefit

301ing bad domains isn't a good idea.

I'm curious though why you didn't just buy a older domain to begin with instead 301ing to a new site.

I can admit though, 301ing a good domain is quite powerful.

Nice post. What's the serpiq score for the term you're targeting?

Not sure, probably very close to 50.

I think your Day 1 strategy is particulary interesting. Thanks 4 sharing.

You're welcome.

Total cost?

This is pretty accurate.

bump this thread with an update in 3-4 weeks

^^ This, and also best practice for getting high PR domains for sale?

DP.

Which SB Bombing services did you use Clyde? The one in DFB?

Started with river's and I also bought ewandy's.

Not sure, but from what I see it's SPAM on unpopular/foreign blog CMS's with a lot of highly spun content so the links actually get indexed.

I do SGW and profile+blog comment links to the 301 domain.
The rest go directly to money site.

I'll come back here in a month or so to update you guys.

Great post man. Just wanted to say be really careful with what you buy at DP, lots of garbage floating around over there. Due diligence is key.

Ah you're right, I thought he said "where".

For best practise, check validity, and age. Then check if the PR4 domains have any valid PR4 backlinks to it (actualy old backlinks, not some high pr blog comments). You can use SEO Spyglass for this. Only buy from reputable sellers with high iTrader (10 and up).

Is every single link on a unique domain though? Or is there a fair amount of duplication?
