Kevin O'Leary in the Shark Tank

Entrepreneurial heroes

1.John D. Rockefeller

2. Kevin O'Leary

I really like one thing O'Leary said on Shark Tank about how he thinks of his money as soldiers and everyday he sends them out into the battlefield to take prisoners. Priceless

I absolutely CAN NOT stand the fucken dramatic music and sound effects they add to these reality shows...

why is that weird? better to be tall than short like 90% of the chinese population.

Same reason it's weird when he lies about the height of his buildings and gets caught lying about it. He has a weird insecurity about his appearance/self worth and he goes to great lengths to prove he doesn't have those insecurities. What the fuck do Chinese people have to do with this?

Which show do you guys prefer, Shark Tank or Dragons Den?

Personally I like the production of the Dragons Den show much better, but they are both very similar.

shark tank

too many ridiculous pitches on dragons den

When I saw the cuban episode I assumed he was going to be on for the whole season and got super psyched---cuban is a fucking bauce and he NEEDS to be on all the shows. He's got the cash to make things very interesting.

Mark Cubans a great deal maker but the thing about him is he could buy and sell everyone else on the panel without breaking a sweat. Also the amount most of the people are looking for on the show he could wipe his ass with and not give a fuck. Which is a way isn't good for them because he could very well be fucking around and not care whether they succeed and work to make them so. Whereas if Kevin O'Leary gets his greedy little paws in your business for a big stake I feel like he's going to at least work hard then to somehow make himself a lot of money and vicariously you.

The two shows, show the difference between the types of investment, and how the american vs rest of the world works. On shark tank, they care about the story, they care about the marketing, and they have the connections to join the two together.

On dragons den, they care about a solid investment that they are most likely not going to have to put any work into, and are basically loan sharks. The same type of viral advertising doesn't work as well overseas, and doing something like - getting a product into the major supermarkets - is only going to serve a 10th or less of what it can in the states, therefore, the deal is worth a lot less.

Cuban is a "bauce"? The dude is a total fucking tool who got lucky and sold a shitty business at the top of a bubble. Mad props for making the money, but the dude is a douche.
