Hi!

I’m reading an SEO book, but I’m having tremendous difficulty implementing any of the tips due to the abundance of questions that I have. That said, any help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m tired of barely getting trafficking and making money. I want to succeed as an affiliate marketer, but lately I feel like giving up, so…

#1.

The book speaks of good architecture in the form of domain/category/post.

I have a category ‘Green Smoke’ in the domain ‘Smoke Without Fear.’

When I create content for this category, should I eliminate the Green Smoke?

GreenSmoke/coupons
GreenSmoke/starterkits
GreenSmoke/cartridges

And if I do this, can I still put Green Smoke in the title tag and use it as a keyword so Google knows that I’m talking about Green Smoke coupons? Or is the fact that it’s within the Green Smoke category enough for it to know?

#2.

Many of my posts are in the form of questions:

What Is Green Smoke?
Is Green Smoke Bad For You?
Does Green Smoke Really Work?

Is this okay, or should I change it? If the latter, then how should I implement it?

Also, is content like this ‘What-Is-Green-Smoke’ okay? It seems confusing to set it up as ‘WhatIsGreenSmoke’

Take a look at this What Is Host Gator? | I Prefer Quality Web Hosting please. Excuse the badly organized menu on the left.

None of the articles listed on the left are getting ranked for shit. Should I work to build backlinks to every single post or would it be more prudent, what with the Panda monster (I’m an animal-loving liberal, but I really feel like shooting a real panda, lol, just kidding), to combine all the content (which holds much redundancy, by the way) into one gigantic post?

I ask this because I’m seeing so many one-page websites outranking the hell out of me. They toss an ABUNDANCE of info into one page, market the hell out of it and rank for everything.

It just seems like writing a super-duper number of pages doesn’t work anymore.

Thanks much for your time!

Maybe look at the stuff in my sig, but if you want a simple and quick answer, if you want to learn how to do SEO, go and breakdown what successful sites are doing, and that will be your answer.

You can't learn SEO from a book.
