jobs kept a couple of thousand dollars when he was 17.

He took $1 yearly salary at apple and his equity didn't even begin compare to Tim Cook's wooping 400 million/year, although he started the company, got fired from it and then hired again and brought it to the biggest tech company ever, compared only to oil companies.
