That was a damn good blog post. It's also a perfect blueprint for outsourcing blog commenting to a V.A. if you don't want to do it yourself. Thanks for turning me on to urlopener.com by the way.

Chartbeat is just a live analytics service. That's the dashboard. You guys can watch the traffic in real time that comes from being #10 on Hacker News (it's not going to last, maybe stay there for another hour or two)

It's interesting to watch stuff like that even if it's all just vanity metric stuff anyways.

im salivating over chartbeat...not really something i find that useful but i think i just found somthing for annoying clients who want fancy metrics :)

The level of stupidity in the comments section of HN is outstanding. If you look at 100 start ups, 90 of them have no idea what the fuck they are doing in terms of SEO - yet as soon as somebody posts something that tries to help them they are all on matt cutts balls just regurgitating bullshit that they don't understand. I don't know how you managed to keep so calm replying to it.
