Ok, so I have spent the last 2 hours scanning through shit on the net, and then I thought "Why the fuck don't I ask WF?"

So, here I am...

I know plenty of you are outside of the US, and if I remember correctly, some of you are Expats...

To put it bluntly, I am just tired of America... I am in my mid twenties, and I have experienced much of what America has to offer. I am also sick of the politics and un-easy nature that this country is headed.

So...

Denmark
Sweden
Germany
Spain
France

Anyone have any experience with relocating permanently to any of these countries?

From my very limited understanding thus far, I know it won't be 'easy'. I am not attending college, nor am I getting married.

I could knock some chick up in a foreign country, if necessary, though :P

But seriously... Any advice, tips, or pointers?

Thanks guys

Irelands good for low corp tax. Cost of living will blow your mind though. You'll not get a home for under $230,000; ridiculous prices over here.

How is the rental market?

I'm not in a position to buy right now, and I'd like to make sure I buy somewhere I want to -remain-. I have no issues renting.

Sweden has a low corp tax, too, 18% from what I remember.
Denmark is crazy high still, other than that I'm not sure.
I'd opt for Sweden if I was you, but I like it there :P

Edit: Oh but Sweden has crazy high tax on booze, just an FYI

Probably more reasonable. Have a look here:

Property and Houses For Sale and Rent from Northern Ireland's Largest Property Website | Propertynews.com - might give you an idea; suggested places would be Dublin, Galway or Belfast.

Just took a look... Not too bad... Prices are about the same as you would find in southern California... Thanks for that link. What's it like there... As in, social scene, the women, the Government/police...?

I have always wanted to go to Sweden... It just seems like such an awesome place... And the booze tax is worth it... You don't need to get hammered there as often, because the women are so fucking hot!

Blonde hair + Blue eyes = My weakness

LOL france , don't go there, it's worst than the US

the civil war is starting there first with their 10 millions Muslims

Depending on how much you're making, consider Switzerland. You can strike a deal with the tax authorities on how much you pay.

.....I didn't think about that for some reason. And after following a few of the stories coming from France, I should have... Thanks for that.

Shitty, France seems like such a chill place. Or, did... lol

I've looked into Switzerland, and as much as I love a lot about the country, I can't feasibly afford it right now... I have to be honest with myself. lol

Social scene is great in Dublin, Galway and Belfast. If your outside that its a lot more quiet, us Irish like our culture and tradition so its not too mental. Government are corrupt bastards, but they dont tend to take too much interest in your life as long as they get a pay package.

Belfast is a whole nother matter, but I'll not go into the politics of Ireland ha!

Dublin is where I was looking, it looks like a pretty cozy place.

$230,000 is low. Almost a mil here in Vancouver.

Are you fucking kidding me? What size house are we talking about here?
A Mil where I am could fetch you a fucking 5,000sq ft. 5 bedroom 3.5 bath house with a spa, pool, backyard kitchen, on .75 acre, with a 4 car garage, travertine tile throughout, huge kitchen... etc etc etc.

Then again, it sucks here, so maybe that's why it's so cheap :) haha

Just got done watching a show where this cook from the food network(fat guy with orange hair) and a couple of models travel through Spain eating good food and visiting historic monuments. Looks pretty awesome bro. If I had a lot of money I would like to check it out, + I hear Spanish is the easiest of the European languages to learn.

Yeah Dublin is one of my favorite cities, excellent bars, clubs etc. and really nice city apartments. Were quite accommodating to people aswell especially Americans, they were accommodating for the Irish during the famine :)
