I remember a while back diorex posting something about lead quality and after reading this report here. (wf arbitrage) i had this thought.

We have a bunch of new networks all started by "super affiliates" you know. Ruck(conv-ert2media), a-ds4dough, xy-7, firel-ead or whoever . They are pretty new and have some really cool offers. What if, just what if one of this new networks came up with the same tier that epn is using.
Reward publishers that drive quality traffic i.e If you drive high quality leads for acai, grants, heck even ringtones which convert and users dont cancel accounts - you get a higher payout and heck share in subscription rev.
Set something like this up (which i think would be a bitch to set up) would set you apart from most networks, and you can trickle in the traffic of affiliate marketers to your other offers.
Just a thought.

That makes your earnings a complete crap shoot. You'll wind up with zero dollars and aff networks saying, "sorry, your lead quality was poor and under the terms we pay you what we feel is proper."

Even with $/lead there is scrubbing and whatnot, at least you can ballpark your figures. To be honest, I think most people dislike the eBay model of referring quality buyers get paid some random amount. It forces too much randomness in a business where the top affiliates are focused on tracking.

On top of that, eBay and Acai are two totally different monsters. The buyers and sellers are usually mutually happy whereas in Acai/Grants you're intending to trick the consumer. I think "quality lead" in that sense is finding someone dumb enough to subscribe/enroll/etc...

Quality on eBay makes sense. Quality for stupidity does not.

It works with SEO, which is what epn strives for. It doesn't work as well for ppc because the Affiliate would never be sure of what they were going to get paid and therefore not be able to adjust their campaigns accordingly.
