I don’t have the minutes of the meeting (yet), but sources tell me California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein’s legal staff held meetings on Friday with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new “Assault Weapons Ban” Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection.

This same “pretty good intelligence” says the items that would lead to a ban would ban pistol grips and “high-capacity” magazines, eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of “weapons in possession”.

I don’t know about you, but if these things come to pass and I’m “in possession” I’m certainly not selling.

In fact, the lack of interest in the idea surprised the California liberal’s legal staffers. Apparently, they believe no logical person could possible disagree with them.

I began receiving the first reports of increases in gun buying by people concerned about tomorrow’s election. Dealers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Indiana all tell me there hasn’t been a huge number of buyers expressing those concerns, but the numbers were noticeable.

Among that group -and the majority of “regular” purchasers- the core driving most of the purchasing seem to be in their mid-to-late 30s. Again, home and personal defense are the most frequently cited reasons for buying.

"Assault weapons have gotten a lot of bad press lately, but they're manufactured for a reason: to take out today's modern super animals, such as the flying squirrel, and the electric eel."

they're manufactured because they're good at killing things. it's a catch 22 for governments though. governments have an insatiable taste to kill things with assault weapons, but when there's so many of them that ordinary citizens have them, it poses a threat to their seat at the top of the predatorial hierarchy.

2nd Amendment..

I don't care what the law is, I'll own any gun I want, in any state I want, modify it how I like, etc. These people have way too much time on their hands, ie look at the war on drugs, and see how well that worked? When you take away people's freedoms, and restrict them with penalties, that itself becomes the problem.. Not to mention all the illegal firearm trades/sales going on in the background, which has only continued to increase.

Our rights have been imposed on time and time again under the obama and bush administration.

At least here in Wisconsin there where a ton of political add from the NRA about an assault gun ban. Idiots still vote for Obama.

I do not understand my own state. Support and keep republican governor in office that busted union chops (super unpopular), vote for Obama in general election.

FML.

I think I posted this a long time ago but it seems relevant. My secret underground weapons depot I keep hidden from the government. Don't tell anyone.

The 2nd Amendment wasn't put in the US Constitution so that people could hunt, it was put in there so that people could rid themselves of a tyrannical government. Doing so might require more than a revolver and a shotgun.

*disclaimer: please do not kill me and my family with drones. I am not advocating the violent overthrow of our dear leader.

The 2nd Amendment was put in there because there weren't reliable phones and trains/planes and a giant standing army therefore "well formed militias" were necessary to defend the borders. Obama has the worst rating on gun regulations, so the people that think he's taking the guns should do a little research.

OH right! We need a well formed militia because we don't have trains, cars, phones yet.. WTF you tard
