Here it is boys and girls...

Post your questions about marketing, advertising, seo/sem, blogging, domaining, arbitrage, traffic, etc.

Keep the questions as short and properly defined as possible.

Don't ask personal questions as they'll be deleted.

Ask as many questions as you like, but try and wait until your first one has been answered.

Start time: 3PM EST
End time: 4PM EST

Begin!

Started my first PPC aff campaign. People have been clicking on my Adwords ads (not a lot, but I get clicks) and they go on my landing page. They click threw to the offer but then they don't sign up. So I convince them to try out the offer, but then they pussy out. What am I doing wrong? I'm promoting Blockbuster Total Access (got in it to late I believe, so I feel ok with revealing it).

first!

When I have something like a "link laundering site," if I want to make all the links be something like launder.com/out.php?id=actual_site 301 redirect to actualsite.com, in terms of SEO would that be equivalent to a direct link?

edit: FUCK not even close to first

I'm thinking about running a contest to boost sales on a site.

If you've ever been in a contest for making sales, what stands out as a main reason to keep trying to win even if you're getting your ass kicked by other affiliates?

Oh, here's another one.

I want to promote a very popular product with Amazon that doesn't have much competition, but only gives a payout of $.60-$.80.

What's the best route to take? Landing page and try to beef up my quality score? Should I even do it at all?

What program(s) have you used or would recommend to create/manage basic maintenance on a network of thousands of sites?

On the adult industry..

Is it possible to segment the market by age groups?
Also, which age groups tend to spend the most money?

What is a good way (if there is one at all) to test the waters of a niche with PPC that you plan on driving traffic to solely with SEO?

Well, from what I've been hearing about Blockbuster as of lately is that there is a giant shitstorm of shitty leads/sales coming through, lots of chargebacks, crappy advertising, etc. But at the same time they are beefing up ad spending on TV and all that lot.

Perhaps it's time for you to think outside the box and approach the marketing campaign as a potential customer. You need to figure out how you can creatively get them to signup and stop pussing out. Also, without incentivizing it (that would inflate it for a bit, but kill it in the longrun for you). Make your landing pages DIFFERENT.

Maybe make a landing page as if you are an ex-Netflix user and WHY you've changed over to Blockbuster? You should also change the keywords you're going for, so that people who are looking for a reason to switch or a reason to buy into BB and are ready to buy or signup, not just browsing. You want buyers, not information seekers. Longtails are your friend for this campaign. You may not get a shitload of clicks and signups, but you will get a much better CTR (great for your overall QS with Adwords) and your conversion rate will look a hell of a lot nicer.

I have no idea what you're asking.. haha

Can you be a bit more specific? Are you trying to boost sales for your gay ebook, or are you trying to boost competition between the affiliates selling your gay ebook?

Eli posted a while ago about link laundering sites, which are basically like topsites. They ask for a link back in order to be included in the list. The trick is to feed them with links to OTHER sites that you are trying to gain links to, so they link to those instead of the actual link laundering site.

But if I didn't want to tip them off, I would do something like laundersite.com/out.php?url=actual_site. That's the link they would link to. But it would be a 301 redirect to actual-site.com.

My question is - does that pass the same link value as a direct link to actual-site.com?
