In no particular order:
1. Who are the other meth suppliers and dealers in the area and how many are there.
2. What is the cut rate of the other suppliers product.
3. What would it cost for police protection should you go with option A, option B, or option C.
4. What are the mandatory minimum sentencing laws in your state for possession.
5. What are the mandatory minimum sentencing laws in your state for distribution
6. What are the mandatory minimum sentencing laws in your state for operating a drug operation in a school/drug free zone and distributing to minors.
7. How much is someone willing to pay to bone/get blown by/ass bang my girlfriend.
8. How much will they be willing to pay once she turns into a meth head because she she's ready to kill herself because she's blown more sweaty dongs than a 5-year-old has picked boogers.
9. How reliable is my supplier?
10. Will the GF still hook for me after I "dump" her because she's now a whore, even if she is MY whore. Also does she have friends with low self-esteem who I could also have turn tricks for me.
The main question that isn't that important.
How many meth addicts are there in your area - This isn't important. Meth/Heroin/Coke/Crack addicts are the easiest thing in the world to make (except for man butter, which is why turning out your gf and her friends and having them sell your meth while tricking is really your best proposition). All you have to do is find someone down on their luck. You give them something that makes them feel better. They remember that good feeling. They think I can do this it's no big deal. Next thing you know their wife leaves them and they're sucking dicks in the back ally so they can buy your product.
In reality it takes a lot more intelligence to run a successful drug ring than it does to make a living online, with the key word there being successful. However, your life and freedom are generally safer making a living online than it is running a drug ring.
There are about a thousand other things you would need to know to make a truly informed decision. But those would be some of the first things I'd want to know if having to pick an option.
While I think you're analogy isn't quite spot-on, if the point was to get people to start thinking about how important math.....errrr meth is to any business for both profitability and risk equations I applaud you good sir.
One of the better threads I've seen here today.
