No, it's not stupid. If I just showed up on an anonymous message forum like this, pitching an idea in 40 words like that, then I'd fully expect to get laughed at and told I'm a fucken idiot.

At the very least, it proves he doesn't have an actionable execution plan in place. At the worst, it proves he's mentally retarded.

Imagine showing up in a boardroom of potential investors, and pitching what he did. "I live in Colombia, where dey grow da coffees, and want to sell da coffees to the US, cause Murikans have lots of money!". That's basically what he did, and how well do you think that would go over in a boardroom filled with potential investors / partners / distributors?
