Anyone here a trance fan? I love trance, but it's especially good to listen to when working.. Anyhow, DI.fm has a great trance channel, especially on Thursdays though, because they have two of the best DJ's in the world back to back with live weekly radio shows.

12pm-2pm EST - Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast from Miami
2pm-4pm EST - Armin Van Buuren - A State of Trance from Holland

www.di.fm - internet radio 24/7 for free.

I've never gotten into trance at all. I really don't even know the difference between techno and trance. Isn't "house" the same kind of thing as well?

I do know what you mean by liking to listen to it when you're working though. I used to listen to Daniel Beddingfield - "Gotta Get Through This" super loud on repeat when I was pullin' all-nighters. That stuff just really keeps you goin'.

My Armin Van Buuren folder is approaching 18 gigs :)

edit: Jon I sent you an invite to a trance website. it's a closed community but there's tons and tons of trance music.

I use to call it all "techno" up to a few years ago and disliked it. These days, though, I've been listening to trance almost exclusively and am especially satisfied with DJ Tiesto.

Nice link, thanks a bunch! First track I got to has female vocals, which I adore!

Dont know if you've heard these but try
Oceanlab - Satellite
Oceanlab - Beautiful Together
Armin Van Buuren - Burned by Desire
Armin Van Buuren - Shivers

Thanks, I'll write them down.

Beautiful Together was the one I mentioned in my previous post.

Here are the tracks I like most, all by Tiesto and constantly on my playlist:

Touch Me
As The Rush Comes
Just Be
In My Memory
Sweet Surrender (Remix; Sarah Mclachlan)
Innocente (Remix; Delerium)

If you know any tracks similar to those, write them here or send me a PM...

Pfff, yeah right...the tracks on my PC are safe as I'm used to them and I can work peacefully, but these things I'm hearing now only make me wanna go somewhere crazy and party!

@kyleirwin
All music styles have subgenres that are kinda "invisible" for non - listeners.
Metal, Hard rock, Speed Metal, Thrash metal,....
Country, Western...
And then some more subdivisions only audible to real fans of the genre.

I like psychedelic trance (Goa) most. And yes, trance does sub categorize.

(as does house and other electronic music)

::emp::

Oh yeah! Great to see some di.fm fans! The european and vocal trance stations are usually what I listen to. Occasionally I'll tune into some house or ambient.

When I'm not listening to di.fm, it's all about gamingFM. 8)

I'm a huge Armin Van Buuren fan. I hate when people label it all as "techno" or "electronica". I like vocal trance the best.

Only listen to his old stuff, currently listening to Tiesto, Trance Energy 2000, great recording, it is 1 hour 13 mins long :)

I love tiesto! Armin van buren, iio, ian van dahl, dj doboy

DJ Tiesto Ft. Kirty Hawkshaw- Just Be
Best song evar!
