Was going to say right but after looking for a few minutes I'm going with left, looks cleaner and more modern.

From a purely personal point of view I prefer left.

I guess the question is though: what's your market?

Kind of depends on the company. I think sans usually works better for modern / bold / innovative (e.g. technology), where serif is better for something that is trusted / strong / dependable (e.g. finance). Based on the fact that it says "asset management", I'm assuming it's financial.

The one on the right and it isn't even debatable. nvanprooyen is right on the money.

The typeface on the right has enough serif to give it that trusted, old school feel, yet a clean, contemporary feel.

I'm leaning towards the right one. Being a graphic designer myself, it's hard to choose between the smallest of details but it's crucial and I've learned to just go with my intuition. Go with the right.

I agree, the serif font looks more conservative, which is okay if you're trying to project that image. The sans serif looks more updated.

As for the rest of it, I like the daisy (or wheel) to the left of the lettering, and not on top. The white on black has a glossy feel to it, but the black on white is easier to read.

Top left blue box, bottom logo. That is the best configuration that I can see. Nice job.

Excellent guys and gals, thank you, much appreciated. Looks like the decision is leaning towards the right which is my choice too and which the client seems to have indicated that they are wanting to move with (though left was their original choice).

I think the right side is an easier read and, as nvanprooyen pointed out, more appropriate for the company's business.

With a little luck you will soon see this in the press!

Thanks again.
