Obama has spoke several times without teleprompters. Most recently the ass whoopin' he gave to the GOP.

I highly doubt the American people have woken up yet, the change in approval ratings is probably just because they got bored and the whole "hope and change" deal is no longer holding anyone's attention. The president is just a spokesperson, he does whatever he's told. Obama was an easy sell after Bush which should be clear for obvious reasons to all the marketers here, IMO.

Obama is actually sitting at a 49% overall approval when you average all the latest polls. Bush's final approval rating: 22% (average being in the low 20's)

Given that Bush wasn't left with the mess that Obama is you can't compare the 2nd year of Bush's to Obama's. Let's see where Obama is when his term ends and then we'll debate. Even as a conservative or republican or whatever you are, I can't believe you actually think Bush was a better president than Obama because that's how it sounds.
