like around 44 or something when I was younger, lately the longest stints I pull are 30-34 but i'm not the most productive for some of those hours - I do find that i'll get tired around hour 20, then get a second wind around hour 22, then be good until 30, and then tired again, then super alert for the next few hours.
I also read somewhere, that our brains function at higher levels for critical thinking at long stints of being awake (apparently e=mc2 came after 38 hours, and so did a couple other revolutionary scientific discoveries). No idea if this is true or not, I think I read it in one of those uncle johns bathroom readers.
