It takes time to get use to a Mac.
I was a windows user since windows 3.1 all the way to XP, 2003.
Bought my first Mac 4 years ago, and i will never go back to windows.
Sure it is different at first but no virus, no blue screens, runs 24/7 pretty much, super stable, and just overall a great computer.
There is tons of great software for mac.
Myself i only use Adobe CS3 Master so most of the stuff is there ( but I am a graphic designer ).
For coding like CSS i simply use Dreamweaver.
FTP Client > Transmit
Onyx - for OSX tweaking
FlightGear for OSX - flight simulator ( if you love to fly )
MS Office for Mac is useful
Some editors are TextMate, TextWrangler, BBEdit I think and Smultron.
=)
