As for Simon Black, he's a typical hype marketer. As far as I can tell from his site, unless you buy a farm in Chile - and his ebook for $9.99 on how to get a passport in some dump like the Dominican Republic (sorry, never been there so shouldn't comment) - then you're doomed to a life of drone attacks in the US.

I went to Chile last year. It's more developed than most of southern Europe. You can drink straight from the tap there. If you drink from the tap in Spain you'll be shitting little brown senoritas for a month. And not in a good way. However, the women are definitely not like that video in Chile. That's some heavy propaganda if I've ever seen it.

the DR actually does suck pretty hardcore in terms of internet speeds. There is no way I could live there and work from the internet. Combine the slow speed with constant drops and you got yourself a nice headache and a reason to drink Presidente all day long.

Besides that, its lovely place to visit for a short time.

PS. Additional fun, a decent amount of DR IPs blocks are banned from a lot of major sites due to high fraud (Lol surprising? no)
