Man beheads sister, walks to the police station [LIKE A BOSS] with her head in India

Honestly, If I had a sister and she had extramarital relationship I'd forget her for my entire life (I'd not kill her but she won't be anymore in my life as my sister).

Same here man

"killed her to protect the honour of his family" - After all she is dead.

So having murderers in the family is more honorable than having cheaters in the family?

Hello friend,

It only murder if kill someone for no reason or bad reason. If you kill a bad guy trying to kill children then you a hero and no a murderer.

Good luck bro

So, extramarital relationship is a serious thing in India when compared to America.

Are you saying Americans are fine with adultery? Does Merica approves it?

I don't think any MAN on this earth can even think of living with a girl/wife who is getting fucked by someone else. No one would willing to live with such relations. May be I'm wrong as I'm not clear about American culture.

You'd really disown one of your own family members? That's horrible...

Putting aside the obviously grotesque thing that this guy did to her sister, it's always interesting to me how in western culture we arguably have the complete opposite extreme as what we would see in Eastern and Middle-Eastern cultures. Here in the west, our culture is basically infested with cheating and extra-marital affairs and many of us have probably become desensitized to these things so much that it almost seems normal. I mean, we even have dating sites for cheaters like ashleymadison.com.

Then you have these Islamic nations that take cheating and extra-marital affairs very seriously. It's not only shunned culturally, but even the government intervenes and stoning to death or hanging isn't uncommon in countries like Iran.

Both extremes are bad in my opinion, but at least in these Eastern and Middle-Eastern cultures, you at least help to maintain the nuclear family by shunning cheating/affairs. I mean, what typically happens when either the man or the wife cheat? Fighting, divorce, family instability and you basically emotionally screw your kids too.

Let me also add that in countries like Iran, getting a divorce is much more difficult than in the states. You typically need the husband's approval and there is no such thing as "no fault divorce" which makes either the husband or wife able to divorce whenever they want for no reason.

Do you see where I'm going with this? The point I'm trying to make is that making cheating wrong as part of the culture, taking extreme measures when cheating occurs, and making divorce harder to obtain all make it so that the nuclear family doesn't dissipate like it did in America, and breaking down the family has horrible outcomes for children.

Gotta say, I'm not sure if their family unit is something we should look up to. They disown and murder their own sisters for having sex. I don't know, but I'm not sure that's something we should strive for as a society. Just doesn't seem very loving.

I couldn't imagine disowning a family member. Even if one of them turned out to be a serial killer or arsonist, I couldn't just disown them. They're my family.

I agree. I wasn't specifically referring to their family unit; obviously they are an anomaly.

You've obviously never seen a "fuck my wife" porn video.

In all of these places the life of women is very cheap. So cheap in fact that someone can cut their sister's fucking head off for daring to fuck someone. Married men cheat all the time in these countries; women are property and treated as such.

Have you been to any of these places? I have, and between the amputees crawling through the streets begging for food, the corrupt governments stealing everything they can get their hands on and the general contempt for human life, I can't imagine why they would be held up as examples to the rest of the world.

The whole nuclear family thing was a popular myth that idealized a way of life that worked for some people. If it was as good as it looked, we wouldn't be reminiscing over it today.
