You know I never checked out Lyceum because of the fact that it appears to be a dead project.

I assumed that because there's been no development on it in forever, I'd have a hard time using more up-to-date plugins, etc. with it...

So, do you mind elaborating on why you recommend Lyceum?

i get like 20 mails from the mailing list every day... doesnt look dead to me.

so i recommend lyceum because its a) great b) in development and c) wordpress mu sucks.

just the point that wordpress mu uses 8 tables for every blog and lyceum uses 8 tables for as much blogs as you like.

i had a weblog farm a year ago with 20k weblogs running.
hitting new postings every few seconds and pinging the ping services... so it was like a rainshower of requests from feed scraper bots.

the cpu load was at 2%
