I could ALMOST throw in Indiana as well to our camp since where I live is considered a tri-state area with a huge mix of Hoosiers right in my city, but that would be unfair with a IU campus just less then a few miles from me.

Since 2000, Duke has won twice and so has UNC so what the fuck are you talking about? Sure Kentucky has more titles but Five of those titles came when college basketball was equally as uncompetitive as women's basketball is right now. Kentucky and Louisville each have a rich history of success but I'd be hard pressed to say that they've been THE state in the last decade.

As a Carolina fan, I disagree. Duke, UNC and NC State are all down the road from each other. Wake Forest is right down the road. (I dont know any Wake fans)
NC is college basketball heaven. Very dedicated fan base.

Thats because there are no Wake Forest fans.

The fact you bring WF and NC state into this topic is rather funny and a bit of a stretch if you are trying to talk about titles or such.

I hope you were just trying to make a connection to the local.

Did you mean 2001?

Not sure I agree on the years we won being uncompetitive. In the late 40's and early 50's your NC was up there with us battling it out with us several years in the brackets.

Late 70's NC and Duke with us, but we won in 78 still

I might give you the late nineties, but only 98 when we had tubby, 96 we had pitino and you know he is a hell of a coach and had an excellent team.

Now we are in the 2012-2014 years, which one are you saying was uncompetitive? Most of the years UK was on top, Duke and UNC where either there with us closely or there the year before or after...????

I didn't even mention Louisville or Indiana yet.

Just making a connection for WF and State. I know a lot of State fans, they are always disappointed lol
