Would you rather keep the money or force the entire country to donate to a risky space venture?

Nasa is a waste of fucking money. Use 10% of it's bloated budget to:

1. Build an actual working spacecraft at an incredibly reduced cost. (google private companies that are working with much fewer resources and still managing to get to space)

or

2. Fund scientific groups to develop technologies at a reduced cost.

Why the fuck are we in space? We don't have the technology to even remotely do jack diddly shit.

-NASA's budget doubled during the Reagan years

-over 2% (vs. .5% now) of federal spending went to NASA under Nixon
