Have you tried emailing department chairs/relevant professors? I imagine they wouldn't mind helping you out unless they're a twat.

Bear in mind that specific course book lists will tend to change year to year, although some core material will always be on there.

Chegg and other textbook sites that have user forums will probably be useful in your quest.

You might also Google up some notable local bookstores in the area, call them just after school lets in, ask them if they have a list of the books needed because you are buying them for your kid/sister/cousin/etc. as a suprise.

MBA is not so much about books as it is about the case studies, classroom interactions and Lectures. This is one education that cannot be self taught, with books at least, maybe on the streets, but not from books. Even the Quants and Financials concepts.

yea but one can get equivalent of a MBA by reading just a few casual business books + some textbooks used in academia

Dude, the point of having an MBA is the networking that is involved in getting it. The training is almost irrelevant. SO you actually don't get the equivalent of an MBA.

Not just the networking, but the learning process is also quite unlike any traditional education/degree.

The books will certainly make you a "better read" person, and wiser, but not the equivalent of an MBA

Oh please, an MBA is one of the biggest bullshit degrees in modern academia. An MBA program is frat boys drinking themselves stupid until they look old enough to be allowed into a boardroom, all while learning just enough catchwords to beat a parrot for their job.

If they get gainful employment, it's because their Daddy or their frat brothers daddies got it for them. Which is the point of getting an MBA in the first place: To meet friends with rich daddies.
