Meat Exposed. Why you should be Vegetarian

So you are saying unsubsidized cattle is the key to defeating obesity? LOL.
1. It's not the cattle that was subsidized, it's the cattle's food.
2. I clearly just laid out for you that it is about the whole CUISINE being subsidized, not just the cattle's food.
3. No one said it can be easily reversed. "LOL."

My point is Luke, eating red meat isn't making Americans fat. Drinking soda, eating fast food, watching tv for 4 hours, and pounding down krispie kreme donuts are the things that are making America fat.
...Which is all a part of the bigger issue of economics. They wouldn't be able to without the economics at play.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT FUCKING ECONOMICS. IT'S ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY EATING AND DRINKING.

Look, we both agree that the bigger picture of cuisine here is making Americans fat. There's no need to yell, bro. But you people who don't see economics as a primary driver for, well, everything, are only standing in the way of any possible solution.

Economics isn't just about pointing to who gets rich... It's about what is POSSIBLE. You can't have a culture filled with horrible junkfood like ours without some serious economic trade-offs.

Currently the trade-offs are about government giving money to farmers so that shit that is bad for you is cheap. This isn't conspiracy theory, it's fact.

When the shit that is bad for you is available to the poor more easily than the good shit, then your nation's poor simply cannot help but look like a bunch of lard asses.

Solve the economic problem here and the cuisine problem will be automatically solved by the free market... Because yeah, poor ppl won't be able to afford a big mac anymore, meanwhile wholesome food won't be out of their budget anymore as the market equalizes.

If you really have some balls Luke, "enlighten" me on Skype.
Balls I got; time for skype I do not. Besides, I've never been one to argue just for the sake of the one person I'm arguing with... Future readers need to know this important shit.

When the alien race of Broccoli Heads see all you vegans eating their brethren, do you think they're gonna stop by and say hello?

Powerpuff Girls reference?

Also to the guys arguing with Luke- It's not that corn-fed meat is more fatty or worse for you that's the problem, it's that it's artificially inexpensive and increases it's availability to the point where it becomes too pervasive in American diets. Look at the prices of grass-fed meats, do you think everyone is going to eat the same amount of meat as they do now if it was all that expensive?

But I do agree that this is more of a social issue than an economic one, at the end of the day it's you who decides what goes in your body and it's your responsibility to not shove a load of garbage in there every day, not the government or the food industry. If you don't want their processed crap, stop buying it- speak with your money.

This would be true, expect it's not just the poor who are fat. EVERYBODY is fat Luke. The weight loss market is growing for a reason. Good food is readily available to MOST people, although I do agree that not everybody does.

You'd find most people can afford buying good food, they just simply choose not to. It's faster to buy frozen meals or get take out and it doesnt take any of your time to do so.

My point is that saying red meat causes obesity isn't true. Other dietary habits and exercise are just as important, which you said you agree with. So I'm not sure why you even are arguing with me. Anyways, You have money to make and so do I, so let's save this argument for another time.

Just saw news of a recent study that says 34% of Americans are currently obese and by 2020, only eight years from now, 70% will be obese. Holy crap you fat asses. The shortage of hot women IRL (versus in the media) is already critical in the U.S. In a few short years the ONLY hot women you will ever see will be on the TV and internet (and they will claim to be vegans.)

I have cholesterol, so I eat only non-red-meats like Chicken only. But occasionally I take pork & beef and egg. :D

Again what a stupid fucking statement.
