Meetup - Middle of Fucking Nowhere

If that is exactly what he meant then he has a really fucked up view of world to think that Scandinavia is not an awesome place to be in. Considering everything that my cousins -- one in US and another in Canada -- and other relatives tell me, and traveling a LOT myself in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, I'd choose Scandinavia over US any day when it comes to quality living. However taxes are a bitch there.

^ It's still out of the way though - which is what 'middle of nowhere' means (at least its a popular way of using the term)

That's not what I meant.

I just saw a bunch of "let's meetup at x" threads popping up, and I'm stuck in the middle of fucking nowhere in the midwest.

Holy shit dude! On days I don't go out for atleast a few hours (even if it is just 1.5 hours in the gym -- leave aside a zillion plus meetings) and meet atleast 5-6 people then I start going insane.

You know you are usually much more productive when you have a balanced life.

lol... I've been like this for years now. I know a lot of people and go out every once in a while, but I'm pretty anti-social. There are times when I literally leave the apartment just once a week to buy food.

I do get out a lot more in the Spring/Fall to go hiking/bicycle touring... but I do that alone as well... lol.

But every now and then I just get an itch and take off to the mountains/beach/vegas/etc with no notice. I just decide to go and leave the next day.

Me too.

But when I get irritated (and I get irritated too often) with my own way of leading life, I gather a couple of friends and we then enjoy our pathetic lives as if we were going to die in the very next day. Typically it includes at least two fucking movies a day, lots of beer and all the Non-Veg and some censored (no, not gay)!

I invite people over just to have them watch me work i made it so that my house is pretty entertaining therefore i don't have to spend ass loads of money to go out i bring the party to me custom beer bong table, striper pool in the garage a Kegerator and a few tvs threw out the condo constantly looping the dick roll site ... have to get a wii next that shit is hours of fun

I live about 15 minutes away from Miami but $8.00-$12.00 drinks is just silly

I am in the middle of fucking nowhere myself in southern Minnesota. I don't know one person near me who is interested in doing anything online. Kinda sucks ass.

We're really not that far away from things. If you live in US midwest, and could only fly within a 3-hour trip radius - your options are 2 foreign countries (Canada & Mexico), and maybe one foreign capital.

Living here - within a 3-hour flight range, I could fly in to England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Switzerland, and some lesser known countries. (within range of most of these foreign countries' capitals).

Not negging the US here...just sayin'
