What things have you missed out on because you were too busy webmastering?

I have some family get together going on around me right now, but I wan't to make some more money so I am sitting here with Norman Greenbaum - Spirit In The Sky blasting and just throwing some visitors at some aff stuff

Money > Family things any day

What about you? I know Jon will have a few good ones

Uhh unless you hate your family, I recommend spending time with them lest they forget who you are.

Anyway, I've missed out on playing countless hours of world of warcraft and CS:Source.

I don't really have much of social life with people my age (who aren't geeks behind a computer). Most of my friends outside of the internet are my parents friends.

It isn't my immediate family, it is extended people who are just people who I don't give a fuck about. They come once a year, eat all our food then leave. They oughta at least chip in some dough, but no they can't

I don't see the point of socialising at school or home, I don't have aspergers syndrome, but people my own age usually waste my time, most are dickheads

Unfortunately, not much. Still have a day job as a SEO dork, and then have kids to take care of when I get home.

Although, I'm getting good at ignoring the kids... :p

I'm in a fraternity house on a Friday night during a keg party, and I'm closed off in my room building shadow domains.

I generally feel the same way. I'm really a dork for saying this, but I'll take affiliate marketing, a good book, or my favorite news feeds and forums over getting wasted or stoned at a teenage drama party any day. Not that I have anything against people who do that, it just sounds really dumb to me.

I get "high" just pumping some trance, sipping some caffeine, and being on the internet. I feel so detached from my age group. But who cares, I bet I'll end up making way more money than they do (already do...).

I totally agree.

uhm.. so if you don't like partys and stuff.. how do you pick up girls?

If there aren't any girls with some kind of depth or passion besides the usual teenage trivial bullshit that you find at the parties I'm talking about...fuck that! give me a slightly older woman who I can speak to on an intellectual level. Where is the girl's ambition? passion? that shit is sexy! :love-smiley-085:[/geek]

Yeah I totally agree. Can't stand the people in school (university), so most of the time I do my assignments at home and send them in by E-mail. I bet no one of them has even heard of Adsense, and I'm studying web programming. Either way, I don't really like talking about my work with random people anyway.

In a given week, the only people I meet are my girlfriend and sometimes my parents for Sunday dinner. And I don't feel bad about it. I like being alone, I like working for days straight and I like not giving my time to people I don't care about anyway. Yeah, that's my manifesto right there. :rasta:

Make the most of life while you're young. You'll regret it when you're older. (Y)

Because I don't have college or school, I do all my online shit whilst my friends are at college. Then go out and do the usual 'teenage stuff' at weekends.

Yeah but it doesn't really interest me, I can't make the most of something I am not interested in :(

I love playing around with code and internet stuff, but hate drinking and running a muck

I don't neccessarily mean drinking and making an idiot of oneself.

Just, Going to the cinema; going to gigs; hanging out at each other's houses and playing video games;... Things like that.

i hope you guys don't start regretting not doing much besides going online all day- i'm only a couple of years out of college and man do i miss being there - drinking your face off and acting stupid is only something you can get away with at one time in your life guys... not that I don't do that now, but going to work all hungover is not nearly as fun as skipping class and sleeping in!

if your not into drinking parties at least hang out w/ people- being old and lonely is not going to be fun, regardless of how much money you make!

I have no interest in acting stupid or drinking my face off. And the rest is only true if you ever have to work for someone else. I've never worked for anyone else, and don't plan on doing so.
