God, if he wins the amount of lib butt-hurt will be a glorious thing to witness.

Not to interrupt your circlejerk with logic and reason, but...

That poll, even if by some miracle is accurate given Gallup's wild swings, means crap as far as the election outcome. Look at the regional crosstabs. Obama is winning in the north, east, and west while Romney is winning by 22% in the south. Running up the score doesn't give him bonus electoral votes.

State polls are where it matters.

Here's the newest polls released today:

Colorado: Obama +3%, Obama +4%
Iowa: Obama +8%
Michigan: Obama +4%, Obama +6%
Nevada: Obama +3%, Obama +7%
Ohio: Obama +1%, Obama +3%
Virginia: Obama +1%
Wisconsin: Obama +6%

Aside from a poll in North Carolina and an outlier Republican-commissioned poll in Pennsylvania with a known significant Romney bias, every poll today has been a gain for Obama.

Romney continues to shorten but he is still at over $3 ($3.09 on betfair or 209/100) to win, can't see it happening.

Looks like a lot of the smart money is on Romney at the moment, but expect a lot of punters to try and hedge their risk at the last moment.

Two things:

1. Customary for undecideds to break for the challenger on the last day.
2. Remember McCain ran out of money the last month of the election, so Obie was able to pound his ass for 30 days on the airwaves with no pushback. That's not going to happen here.

Yep, if you have to pick, pick Romney but hold your breath when you do that.

I always have a informal poll here in Ohio.

We have one of the largest outdoor , open air festivals in my town. 500,000 to 600,000 people show up over a 5 day period from all over the US. The local republicans & democrats are always out selling craptons of political signs. So, in 2004 I started counting the number of people walking around with signs.

The whole idea behind the festival is only a few weeks before the election in Ohio which is a swing state. So far the guy with the highest # of signs has won (Obama had the most sign sales in 2008, Bush in 2004.) This year Romney has the most sales by a pretty fair margin.
