Modafinil

like a loving God?

Christianity is about the furthest thing from a get rich quick scheme I can think of. Most people are too lazy, undisciplined, or selfish to do what is required of them - a far cry from the mentality in threads like these which promotes wonder drugs with zero consequences.

"Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." - Matthew 7:14

It's one man's opinion. This board is littered with people who pop Adderall, Ritalin, piracetams, etc... all so that they can reign as kings for a day and crash like peasants later.

I think all of those drugs, including this one, sacrifice future neural health for present neural gains. Threads like these only show how desperate everyone is to find that one substance that would change their lives forever and make them gods - with zero drawbacks down the road.

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money!

Do you fear death? Do you wonder about an afterlife? Is there one? Do we just cease to exist? Does the world seem stacked up against you? Do you spend nights wondering if your life means anything, wondering what's the point?

Well worry no longer! Accept Jesus Christ into your life today and have all your questions answered.

Get rich quick schemes are to money what religions are to existential questions.

It's really difficult to know how safe this is in the long term.

I've been researching green tea because I drink a shitload of it, everyone knows how good it is for you. It apparently prevents cancer but numerous studies have found it does this by inhibiting telomerase, which your body uses to reconstruct telomeres after cell division. Cancer uses telomerase to stay immortal. So by blocking telomerase, cancer cells can't divide continually.

Then you've got studies that show how important telomerase is for life longevity, and even suggest supplementing telomerase may extend lifespan.

So do you want to inhibit telomerase, prevent cancer but possibly shorten lifespan, or supplement it and live longer with a higher risk of getting cancer?

Fuckin' scientists!

Anyone take this? Any good results from it? How to buy Modafinil (Provigil) – and Q&A

Seems disingenuous to sell MCT-infused coffee and grass butter to the masses when it all could be attributable to Modafinil.

Modafinil ... maybe, but there's stuff I want to try, natural stuff like Tyrosine + Yohimbine HCL, before I go the pharmaceutical route again. Nor do I feel like paying $2-$4 a pill - my pocketbook ain't 'limitless'. :cool2:

Green Tea leaves also suck up fluoride like crazy. You have to get very high quality young green tea leaves (loose tea - not tea bags) for their not to be high levels of fluoride sucked up into the leaves.

Didn't know this, but I only drink gyokuro or matcha which I believe are both shade grown young leaves

So to actually answer the question, yes I've taken it. I bought 100x200mg pills a few months ago. I initially started with 200mg in the morning but found it too strong (I felt a bit 'wired') and now take 100mg at the start of the day and that's it.

What it does for me is to ensure I'm alert in the afternoon. Without modafinl, I'm yawning my head off by 2:30, even with 3-4 cups of coffee per day. It definitely does what it's supposed to do, but I've found the effect is diminished on day 2 and even more diminished on day 3 and 4. I don't take it more than 4 days in a row and I give myself a break usually Friday to Sunday.

I've also found that you need to stay away from coffee when you're on it as it brings back the afternoon crash period, where you're tired again. Having a smaller lunch also helps with this.

I'm 37 and work in an office btw so if you're working from home you would probably get a similar effect from just staying away from coffee all day and having a 30minute nap just after lunch. I can't get away with doing that sadly.

Did a ton of research on this drug... Read maybe 200 reviews, 100+ articles, etc.. It's way over hyped. You can get the same effects with Adderall/Ritalin/etc.. Started thinking the way they were marketing it was just to get the name out and sell more..
