Modafinil

It's really difficult to know how safe this is in the long term.

I've been researching green tea because I drink a shitload of it, everyone knows how good it is for you. It apparently prevents cancer but numerous studies have found it does this by inhibiting telomerase, which your body uses to reconstruct telomeres after cell division. Cancer uses telomerase to stay immortal. So by blocking telomerase, cancer cells can't divide continually.

Then you've got studies that show how important telomerase is for life longevity, and even suggest supplementing telomerase may extend lifespan.

So do you want to inhibit telomerase, prevent cancer but possibly shorten lifespan, or supplement it and live longer with a higher risk of getting cancer?

Fuckin' scientists!

Oh man, don't even get me started on this. The more I read about nutrition and health, the more I feel like I'm gonna go fucking bat shit crazy.

It's like leafy greens for instance, everybody knows how broccoli, brussel sprouts and other green vegetables have super high anti-cancer properties, but they also promote blood coagulation which increases your risk of developing blood clots and dying from a stroke or heart attack.

Choose the way you want to die basically...

Tried it a few times and thought it was actually very clean energy.

Also, Yerba Mate gives me a nice amount of energy as well.

I've found several stores both in Canada and the US that sell yerba mate.

Great drink, most people add a bit of sweetener or sugar.

Doing some more research, looks like Modafinil costs around $700 for a 30 day supply here in the US and insurance will often deny reimbursement even if you have a legitimate script. Yet it's available over the counter in India for ~ 10 cents a pill (WTF?) It's also a schedule 4 substance here. Maybe use your grandma's address for the shipping info when you place your overseas pill order and hope the DEA agents arriving along w/ the package will give her the softer treatment.
(j/k ... )

It's still expensive to import too. Couple hundred bucks for 30 days supply I think. Last time I looked.

Bible verses!

while i agree with most of these, the progression of them is interesting. the first ones are strong, comparing to direct quotes from the bible. as it progresses to the bottom, its like the person who made this gets more & more drunk/angry/desperate/petulant, and abandons the bible references altogether.

from top to bottom, they evolve from good arguments to something a drunk chick would say at a bar.

Why would that one be any different? Every atheist I meet seems as if they were frozen in time the moment their initial shitty arguments were formulated - they've never changed them once they were debunked.

It's just the same brain-dead distortions again and again.

I'd like to see an opposing viewpoint, because that one makes a lot of sense. Indulge the rest of us with your wisdom.

I poked, you reacted. Test complete.

Gotta raise the bar, bro. That's Pewep-level shit, where he's just happy to get a response.

Every atheist says the same talking points.

What is the point of going through every one of these and pointing out where they're a misrepresentation or distortion if it has literally zero impact? I can remember a thread from literally years ago where Turbo was making these same lame arguments. These people live in bubbles, it's completely pointless even responding to them.

I grew up in a Christian family and went to church for years, and considered myself a Christian.

It was a belief I held, not as strongly as some, but none the less I believed it. So going from a Christian, to an agnostic, to an atheist took a lot of thought and reflection.

Changing a belief system is very difficult because of how we're wired. Frozen in time? Quite the opposite here..

Turbo said the exact same stuff years ago and presented the same terrible arguments. Unfortunately there's zero barrier to people self-identifying as "Christian".

Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins?
