posts #1,#2, #26, #27, #28, #32 are the only useful helpful posts in this thread of over 41 posts. 6 posts of 41, then so much hate going back and forth. seriously guys?

1. With email/zip submit pages, do I usually design 1 page or more than 1 page? Is there a difference?

2. If I promote through PPC how much should I be looking to pay if I get around $1/lead?

3. Any tips on setting up email/zip submits?

While this thread is amusing.. it's next to useless.

One page is fine.. but you'll never get a good QS, build a mini site but focus on one page that'll be sending users to the offers, the poll page works well in most cases. Should you do a poll, do it on something people are emotional about, and is in the news so traffic is strong. Politics being a good example before the election.

You're not going to profit at $.20/click, maybe not even $.10, aim for $.05 or lower... just use the content network or work to get a really good QS, 7 or better.

Most offers are shit, always test them yourself before running them. Also, rotate them, watch what works best.. use a lot of different networks, using just one and there's a good chance it'll get canned or scrubbed hard.

thx for the reply! what exactly would be a mini site?

but if my site is for an email/zip submit what kind of 3-5 pages would i be puttin up?

If you're doing a poll about Obama being President. Then you would have 3-5 pages of information on Obama. Tell the readers about him, so they grow more interested into the subject. Make sure to have a clear link to the poll page (homepage) on each page.

Thanks! On some sites I see a privacy policy.. would this count as a page or are they excluded? And for an email/zip submit would it be better to use wordpress as a backend or should I just handcode it? I don't see a reason for wordpress since I won't be doing much updating, but I've heard about search engines liking wordpress and I'm not exactly sure why.

Jesus christ watching this dumb fuck argue this whole thread has given me a fat headache.

Luckily nobody cares about your comment...

@enwise: I suggest you always add a "privacy policy" and an "about us" section to your landingpages. Using wordpress is just fine and can save you a lot of time. Even good for doing some long term SEO with highly targeted keywords.

All your landing pages should always have a contact us and a privacy policy page. This will help towards your Quality Score.

Also, link to some other sites about obama.. they key to building a mini site is to try and draw as little attention to the other pages as possible, but keep google happy.. you don't want your user wandering around, you want them to go to the offer and that's it. I suggest reading up on how to get a good QS.. a good place to start would be to read the Google Help docs and this forum, just search for "quality score"..
