Mr. Robot

with this new revelation, some of the ways they (Mr.Robot, Darlene) interacted toward Elliot was making sense to me now. ex: Darlene seemed a little too intrusive, breaking into his apartment pad uninvited, but it makes sense now. (I'll shut the f -up before I say too much ;)

that episode...

I guess I'll wait for 'that' episode, I've only seen 5 I think now.

Initial thoughts are meh. The vigilante side hacking is my favorite part of the show but only accounts for 10% of it. The rest is just Fight Club with virtual instead of physical warfare. Good for Network TV.

I was pretty damn sure that Mr Robot was Elliot's alter ego and they were pulling some Tyler Durden shit from Fight Club.

Now idk what the fuck is going on, gotta givem credit for keeping it interesting!

The first 5 or 6 episodes, they definitely wanted viewers to think that.

Ep8 What a trip. Dudes own sister.....

Too much bullshit, out of nowhere.

I was not paying attention, what is up with mr. robot?
At first we talked that it is him because nobody interacted with mr robot, then people started to interact with both of them, at at the same time.
Then it turned out to be his dad?

Anyone else realize they were playing a piano version of "Where Is My Mind" by the Pixies while Elliot realizes he is crazy? *cough* fight club *cough*

Yeah this is kind of confusing to me. I thought in earlier episodes they show people interacting one-on-one with christian slater in present day, but maybe not or just more confusion from Elliot's point of view when people are interacting with him? Was there any scenes like this or could they all be explained with the presence of Elliot etc?

There is a clue in the scene where Elliot and his girl go to dinner with his boss- they notice on the TV there is a news report about E Corp, the reporter calls it Evil Corp. Also I think in that same episode there was a printed note on a door that referred to it as Evil Corp. Before that, it was only Elliot and the hackers in F Society calling it Evil Corp, which is to be expected. There are scenes with Mr. Robot interacting with others, mainly in the last 2 or 3 episodes. So it is possible that an entire interaction could take place only in Elliot's head. However, there is an entire scene with Mr. Robot and the black dude in the grow room where Elliot is not present.

The overt Fight Club references I think I understand the purpose now. Because the story is familiar, it makes the audience believe they understand what's going on, but after the last 2 episodes, it turns out it's not exactly the same. So people are going back to previous episodes to try and figure it out again, which is the exact same thing Elliot is now doing. He doesn't know what's real, and neither does the audience.

There were even scenes where people interacted with Eliot and Mr. Robot at the same time, as in normal 3 person conversation. That put me off of thinking Mr. robot was not real.
Mind fuck :)

I'd like to know who Elliot is speaking to when he says shit like "Did you do this?" "Was this you?".... etc. It almost seems like he's speaking to the audience, but it's more likely it's another persona we haven't even seen yet.

I think he's speaking to himself. His other personality. Last episode was bad ass though.

I think this implies that was actually Elliot with the black dude in the grow room, not a fictional interaction that happened in Elliot's head.

Also when "Mr Robot" was meeting in the car with Wellick... that was actually Elliot.

FUCK!

From Mr. Robot's facebook account,

"The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia. Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

They'll be postponing the episode until next Wednesday.
