My New Web App - PumpCoach.

The example PumpCoach call is pretty lame.

A little more enthusiasm, and a call that sounds like it wasn't read from a script may work a little better.

Perhaps, have 3 example calls. one with just female voices, one with just male voices and one with male and female voices that are chosen randomly when someone clicks the example PumpCoach call button. it would add a little variety, and females wouldn't always get the example call of 2 guys talking.

Yeah, should have had a female call as the example.

Pretty slick idea regardless, wish I wasn't swamped in projects, otherwise I'd love to compete.

Super cheap costs...all that's really needed are employees.

I think the coaches need to be more like this

Not a bad idea (although just a personal opinion about the design - I'd have an arrow or something to get the user to start typing in the boxes. I know it's minimalist, and I like that, but I feel like it'd convert a lot better with some kind of push to enter your details. Maybe also having the fields prefilled with grey example text? Just an opinion though, your call :) )

Thanks. Definitely agree about the example text.

Honestly, Dope fucking idea.

I do have some constructive critisim though.

1.) Can your website maybe have more color ? it seems dull right now...

2.) In Firefox, I didnt even see the outline for the name/number...

3.) The form gives out this error "The e-mail address Wed14Sep2011114137EDT1115018573@pumpcoach.com is already registered. Have you forgotten your password?"

4.) The audio clip wasn't 100% convincing :(

As someone who has had a business coach to get me straight, I would be interested in this service vs the $600 a month I was spending.

PumpCoach - get the motivation you need to workout < ridiculous text size differences.
your site is monochromatic -- cool -- now utilize that by throwing a splash of red on that register form
get a better call audio
let people choose how they want to be called.. some people would def sing up if you'd call and yell at them, or if you had a girl call them and say "workout baby -- don't you want to get laid more?" or the quintessential frat brah, etc.. could def have some funny characters as well as the original, honest, helpful guy.
35$ PER WHAT???? MONTH?? YEAH?? ONCE EVER??

Thanks, man. You have some great ideas. Definitely gonna implement that "choose the way you want to be called" feature.

Gonna reply to your PM.

Thanks for the feedback. Fixed #3.

What version of Firefox are you using? Are you on a Mac?

Tosh.0 comes to mine, lol

This. Add a page in the signup process with a few options of people who will call - each with a good photo. Maybe start with 2 (one guy, one girl) and expand later. That will give user someone to relate to and is better than just some anonymous "male or female".

You could also have everyone record an example call, or even better, not a call but a 10-second clip in which they introduce themselves with "Hey! I'm Cindy and I dig a good biceps. I'd love to help you get there too. Pick me!" and put the player right below their pic.

And for good measure, add another option "random - surprise me!".

Great idea for an app. Best of luck with it.

I was expecting a colored/gradient box to load in behind the "main area", as someone said add color. All that gray makes it look dull. There's no call to action.

I personally wouldn't use the service (I'm not really one for trainers either), but I definitely wouldn't if the example guy sounds like Andre from The League. Even the guy he's talking to sounds like Pete haha.

Make the example call more personable. Instead of broad statements like "Come on man, you can hit your goals!" put something with more detail: "I saw you benched 185lbs for 6 reps this week, let's go for 8 reps today and then push it to 190!" I don't want someone telling me "Go for the gold man, you can hit it!" without having any idea what I'm actually doing.

I think $35/month is overpriced if the calls are as short as the example. Let people choose how many times they want to be called per week, and charge per call. Then you can have them add "options" to each call...make some free and some paid. Choose the type of person for free, charge to double the call length. Choose to add a random "pump up" song at the end of the call for free, charge to upgrade to a certified personal trainer who can actually give you advice. Things like that.

Just spitting some ideas out.

And if you do the charge per call model, you can have your coaches compete for commissions (pay them per call). Give customers the option to see a profile and request whatever coach they want that day, or on a regular basis. Would incent the coaches to do their job well and not sound cheesy.

^And if you do that, hire all types of people (once you get the money obviously). White people, Black people, Asian people, hot girls, good looking guys, maybe even slightly chubbier people. Have a picture and audio sample on their profile page, etc. Give the user complete control over who's calling them and when.

Also have more specific reason on why people should have a pump coach.

I'm using firefox 6 on a windows 7.
