My Shitty Experience With Proxy51



We had to pay a software shop $10K plus to integrate our recurring billing system with Beanstream (TD bank merchant). But it was worth it to get off Paypal hell.

It is a wonder to me that in 2013 there aren't any good off-the-shelf recurring billing systems out there (excluding the few that want to fuck you with 6%+ transactions fees).

Anyone know how to locate this proxy51 guy... I cant seem to find this on paypal and I have been trying to get unsubscribed for long, but this bugger wont respond to tickets. I am stuck with this subscription. Can someone help me get out of this mess. Anyone have his skype contact?

It doesnt showup there. I unsubscribe other services that way all the time. But this doesnt show up under that list for some reason even though I see it in paypal history. I think the only way to unsubscribe is to contact this guy or something.

Edit: Finally did it. This was preapproved for a year somehow and wasnt under the usual list. Went into pre-approved plans page and managed to cancel.

I have working proxies with Proxy51 but the owner hasn't responded to a proxy refresh request I put in Saturday. He may just be sick or on vacation.

lol .. wait longer :)

I requested on Aug 18, got refreshed on Sep 3.

I cancelled straight away

Sorry about that. I was just pointed to this thread. I've had a tremendously busy life the past 3 weeks. No excuse, I know. But I just hired someone to respond to all support tickets. Within the next couple days, if you requested a refund, you will get your money back. If you were billed after you submitted a support ticket asking for a refund, you will get that money back too. If you are just plain pissed and want your money back, submit a ticket and I WILL refund you.

Proxy51 support has sucked big time. That's on me. Sorry guys. Wish I could explain more. If you honestly want a detailed explanation, feel free to PM me.

You'll all get your money back in the next few days. I have no interest in stealing your money.

Yeah that was what I was told last time about a refund. After 2 weeks and constant emailing you guys about it, no reply came back. So the only way I got a refund was to raise a claim, and got it back via paypal intervention.
 
Finally cancelled a couple days ago after using for a few months, as long as your proxies don't go down and you don't need to get a hold of support then it's a good service for the price.

Anyone care to drop links to any other decent shared proxy service that they've used in the past that they can vouch for? I've looked at a few already mentioned in this thread, just seeing what else is out there.
 
As far as I am concerned proxy51.com , Proxy51 , Proxy 51 - is out of business
I suggest everyone bail.

I have had this service. they used to be good. But now, nothing - no response, nothing
I am trying to get a refund back for money spent with them. I have tried for a proxy refresh for almost 2 months.

I suggest going else ware.

They have a c/s phone number that has Miles answering 207-475-4756 yep nothing

They also do not use the standard PayPal subscription system to stop billing just call PayPal Done and DONE!

Chatmasta why don't you fucking respond to messages? Your post history shows you are still active here, yet you haven't responded to my messages from the months gone past. I have posted in bhw, opened tickets on your site, and emails to the contact you had listed.

I am still receiving monthly invoices, I used a card (not paypal) when signing up months ago.

It also begs the question: if the service is no more, why the fuck is your proxy51 website still up and running? It's pretty fucking slimey of you to accept payments for a service that no longer exists - close it down and stop being a fucking irritating asshole.
