Myspace Ads

Would like to test this but I do not have a US creditcard. 0.25 min CPC is a smart move from myspace.

Yeah seems they're on some manual approval stuff. Might want to setup multiple accounts too. FB allowed that at first then stopped allowing it as time went on.

I have several live but it takes even longer than FB to get them approved. And like FB it kinda pot luck as to what does get in. I am just surprised they are giving up there inventory as they did not create a new ad stream here just seem to be replacing their in-house ads with this.

well they obviously make more off of this. Their in house ads are being run off ad networks or in house media buys with cpms as low as .25 cents. If they are getting .70 cent CPCs they will certainly make more money.

what I mean off of in-house ads is their internal ads that you see when they promote their own channels - ie myspace.com/ comedy or /music. They take all of the remnant inventory ad push users to channels that they make more money off of (read where they have a CPM ad buyer running).

So it is not so "obviously" as you put it. I have been buying myspace banners on a CPA for 4 years I know their inventory very well and I am very surprised that they have opened this up without creating a new ad placement. It is an "obvious" response to how well the FB flyers took off. My rep says they meant for this to be a platform for bands and comedians to ad their gigs/cds but they were prepared for all of us to flood them with ringtones and dating offers.

I'll bet you a new macbook air that this placement changes dramatically with the next month. All you have to do is enter your zip right here ________.

For those who've got approved ads, how is the performance? CTR, Impressions, and any ROI yet? Also, roughly how long did it take for your approvals. Pretty interesting shit, although I think the bids are going to sky rocket just like FB .. only this is Myspace traffic, not sure if that's necessarily better or worse (all depends on the niche I guess.)

I submitted last night, got approved this afternoon. 0 impressions yet on anything. Is anybody getting impressions and clicks?

Almost exact same story here, submitted last night and approved earlier today, still no impressions or clicks.
