Official Answer from Myspace: Thank you for your use of MySpace MyAds beta and for bringing this matter to our attention. We have reviewed your account and confirmed that the numbers reported on your user account are accurate. While we appreciate your concern, MySpace calculates the charges to your account based on our internal measurement tools and is unable to adjust charges based on data provided by third party tracking services.

^^^translation:

thanks for trying myspace. i looked up your account and i do see 1000 clicks but as i don't know what i'm doing and YOU don't spend enough to justify a support call i'm just gonna fob you off with a canned response.

of course if you don't like it please fuck off back to facebook and pimp your "diet/ringtones/crush" shit there.. oh, sorry, forgot facebook doesn't accept these type of ads anymore.
hahahaha

yours myspace :)

they sent me the same response a couple of weeks back :(

Well, if they don't sort it out, I'll charge back the lot and make a new account - simple.

Plus they don't have my address. UK ftw.

Is any one else having problems with MS over reporting clicks?

Theyre saying 1000 clicks server, whereas P202 says 700 with show all clicks.

I'd like to here how every one is dealing with that, as I know i'm not the only one.

U expect us to pay attention to what you write with a sig like that??? :) haha

ne suggestions on VCC's to open multiple myspace ad accounts?...Have tried paypal and bofa which cap 1k daily spending limit. Need a revolving VCC with high daily limts. NE suggestions/recommendations?

Wellllll, that sucks.

So now that Myspace has been up and running post Beta stage for a few months, any tips/tricks/methods being used to make the myspace ads experience more efficient/enjoyable?

hmmm logged into myspace this morning and all my new approved campaigns had been disapproved. seems they may have some kind of anti cloak mechanism now because i'd only had a couple of clicks on them so i doubt i got reported. something triggered a manual review and everything "celebrity related" got nuked. bastards.

i'm still out of the country (making visas & bored) but when i get back i'll check the logs see if i can't work out what happened. my cloaks pretty tight ... well up to now it has been. maybe they are scraping for celeb words. will see.

:(

^^^ ah glad its not just me

my initial thoughts are they are running a bot scraping celebrity keywords and this submits your lander for manual review. when i get back home i'll run some tests just using images and/or generating the words using javascript. my logs should show whether its a bot hit or not and how to beat it.
they could also be checking the running page against a cached copy, again triggering a manual review. this will be harder to defeat but not impossible.
i would imagine this would again need to be a bot as manually doing this would be too resource intensive.

of course we could just not show any midriffs/sexy girls/oprah but where would be the fun in that? lol not to mention the CR drop, gasp.

yup...not just u hahaha...and thankfully not just me. Thats a great idea to test..keep me posted. I'm going to run aa few tests as well.

No Oprah = No Fun

Hey guys i tried putting up a diet campaign on myspace, with a link to my own LP, and within a few minutes i got my ad disapproved stating "Inappropriate Profile Content". Any idea what this means and how i get around it?
Thanks guys
