Need Culturally Neutral IQ Tests Quickly

Wow, just wow.

@teguh - IQ tests measure your ability at IQ tests. Seriously - when I sat selective school exams 22 years ago, they had worked that out and dropped them in favour of subject-specific tests.

Measure task-specific ability for the role, and personality for attitude.

For the task ability - set them a series of programming tasks.

For personality.... you need a decent psychometric test to help you... and that means you need someone who's qualified to interpret the results otherwise they are just gibberish.

In indonesia sallary is cheap. Good programmers are like $500 and they work 11 hours a day. I usually pay the same except that they work 7 hours and I give lots of bonus if the biz they govern works well.

Productivity is low in the beginning. Competition among bosses are not high.

The true costs of hiring employee are not money.

It's
1. Training costs
2. Mistake costs
3. Political costs

The third is important when things go sour and you got to fire them and they spilled all your secret and to cops, etc.

I've heard in US you "keep" some disabled old females minorities not because they work well but because you're afraid of being sued if you fire them. In fact, the worst the workers are, the more likely they will sue. Good workers are wanted everywhere else and even if you pay them well it's worth the money. The bad workers are like cancer you can't just get rid of.

Bad workers are protected. Protected from competition, meritocracy, common sense, obligation to perform, everything. I don't want to play that game. Maybe latter after I am big I'll kow tow to socialist bigot. Not now.

I don't mind paying much higher than the market rate. I paid my current ones 3 times (yea he worked 11 hours a day). I don't want problem.

I want to move on from my biz. Learn programming and life. Write a book. And guide people to their wealth. By the time they're as old as I am, they'll be richer than I am under my guidance and in the process helps me get richer too.

That means either somebody I know very well, or have high IQ.

Seeing how there are over 10k recognized "IQ tests" and the first thing u learn even as an undergrad in psych that they're never a clear indicator of anything other than they can fill in a bubble or perhaps write with their hands using a #2 pencil.... why not give them a piece of easy work to do. Then if the quality comes back on par with your expecations.. that'd mean u know they can prob do their job at least....

If you vibe well with them.... thats called having a conversation for a few minutes about a random topic ("so.. any kids? ".. "what part of town do you live in"..etc..).. heck, even go with the hardcore "No Asshole Rule" (get it at amazon.com).

If someone handed me an IQ test for a job i'd tell them they'd be better off taking it because the last thing i'd want is to be working for someone who just proved they have no clue what role a boss plays.
 
I wouldn't hire people that do not want their IQ to be tested. That's a kind of ego I don't understand.

The former comment in regards to disabled old minority females (seriously, you should do stand up- this stuff is great) takes the cake. Also, degrees are not all about memorizing dates and names. You do realize that right?

I shared password with my employees. I shared most of my biz plan. I don't have time hiding facts. I trust those I hire, I don't hire those I don't trust. I am nice to people near me. If I don't feel like being nice to them, I just stay away from them.

It's just common sense.

Of course I do not hire anyone convicted of stealing. That's the reason I scanned conviction records and blasts them to internet. So that employer can figure out whether the vermin has been convicted of larceny or not without having record on finding that out.

Go to a professional and get a WAIS or SB done.

These are some of the more accurate tests out there.

For culturally unbiased spatial IQ, get Cattell B's test Form. 50 questions and 12.5 minutes a ceiling close to 180 and yet surprisingly accurate.

However, expect to spend hundreds of dollars or more on each test.
 
Tell them they have 20 minutes to come up with as many uses for a paperclip as possible. It's a good creativity test.

(a particularly creative person may say, for example, can the paperclip be 20 feet tall?)

Looks like I am wrong.

Rather than asking for IQ tests, I should aim for google jam instead. I can solve all or most obviously. I am not sure I can do that by the time limit. Will have to wait till May when competition start. I expect people that work for me to be able to answer at least one of the easier ones. No degree is required.

The main reason why I like to hire people based on IQ is not just their ability.

I simply don't feel comfortable among irrational people with strange faith over something. I understand that normal IQ people never have the ability or willingness to "question" the norms around them.

In other word, they may stab me in the back, and do it out of faith.

High IQ people is somebody you can reason with. There is a lot out there for us. Normal IQ people cannot.

I got a muslim applicant that says that, our fortune has already been decided. This may seem innocent but it gets on my nerves. This guy don't know how to make a fortune. What about if he achieve it by fucking me over and latter claim that some guy above has decided his fortune? Will he be loyal to me, someone that will help him get rich, or to his religion?

In general I look suspiciously on any restriction on hiring. I want future partners and employee is just a bridge for that. What's with the can't hire people based on religion and opinion? If you're a jew, should you hire a skin head?

Too much deception. If he's a high IQ, fine. He can't answer puzzles. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate muslim and will still make him rich. Well it's not hard to beat $250 salary per month. It's just that I wonder whether he should be part of my inner circle. That sort of thing.
